International Conference on Role of Plant Biochemistry and Biotechnology in Food and Nutritional Security December 11-14, 2013, Organized by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati

The Indian Society of Agricultural Biochemists, Department of Agricultural Biochemistry, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati are jointly organizing an International Conference on "Role of Plant Biochemistry and Biotechnology in food and Nutritional Security along with the XII Convention of the Indian Society of Agricultural Biochemists at Tirupati, Andhara Pradesh, India from December 11-14, 2013. The present theme was chosen in the light of alarming problem of food and it is essential for the survival of human being and animals. Getting of best food to the individuals is invitable to the globe and also to Indians. Recent reports from news media said that the Indian kids lack Essential nutrients for growth. Hence the agriculturists produce food grains, fruits and vegatables which contains all the nutrients to keep us healthy. Hence to meet still problems in agriculture the role of Biochemists and Biotechnologies shall be upmost in importance. Therefore, considering the significant role of these scientists this International Conference is proposed to help the farmers who use animals and also field as its best research field to produce best nutrients. All scientists who will come allover the globe to participate may hold discussion on various themes proposed in the conference.
The International conference will provide a platform to biochemists, biotechnologies. nutritionist, food technologists and industrialists involved in both plant development and providing better food and nutrition security to the society to interact and formulate recommendations which may serve as guidelines to those engaged in research and development in the area.
Scientific Programme : The conference will have three categories of presentation 
  • Plenary Lectures
  • Oral Presentation
  • Poster Presentation
  • Plenary lectures will be held in the morning on a topic relevant with the themes of the conference. In addition, few evening lectures by leading scientists will also be arranged
Call for Abstract : Authors of their original and review work are advised to submit an abstract for oral and poster presentation not to exceed 250 words to the given email in the format of the title, names of authors and their affliations in MS word 2003 format in a font size of 12 of Times New Roman in between the line space of 1.5 the last date for submitting the abstract is September 30, 2013.

  • Metabolic engineering for anhancement of crop quality
  • Biochemical and molecular basis of biotic and abiotic stress tolerance
  • Biotechnological approaches for crop quality improvement
  • Food technology-new frontiers
  • Genomics, Bionformatics and Animal Biotechnology
  • Public-private partnership for capacity development and IPR
  • Biochemistry education and research in National Agricultural Research System (NATS)-open house discussion
  • Session for young scientists below 35 years
