JRF position leading to PhD enrollment at Sathyabama University, Chennai

Sathyabama University was established under section (3) of the UGC Act, 1956 (A Christian Minority Institution) which was formerly known as Sathyabama Engineering College established by JEPPIAAR EDUCATIONAL TRUST in 1987. The University offers courses in 24 branches of Engineering at the UG level and 24 courses at PG level in addition to Sciences, MBA, MCA and Ph.D programmes in all disciplines.
Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DBT, Govt of India funded Major Research project entitled "Studies on ß-lactamase Inhibiter(s) from Streptomyces sp SBRK-1 and its effect on Staphylococcus aureus infected zebrafish embryos.
  • Post : JRF
  • Duration : Three years
  • Post : Junior Research Fellow
  • Emoluments : Rs.16000/- pm + HRA for the first two years and Rs.18000/- pm + HRA for the third year.
  • Eligibility : M.Sc / M.Phil, Marine Biotechnology/ Nanobiotechnology/ Microbiology Biotechnology Biochemistry/ Genomics/ Life Sciences Or M. Tech in Nanobiotechnology or Biotechnology
  • The appointment is purely on merit basis and temporary for three years.  CSIR/ICMR/NET/GATE qualified candidates and those who have research experience in Zebrafish breeding and embryo handling, Molecular Biology or Immunology Real time Confocal imaging, Microarray / HPLC will be given preference. Selected candidate will be enrolled for Ph.D. Candidate may also have to travel and work in the Collaborating Institutes of Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Sathyabama University during project duration of 3 years.Eligible candidates may send their hard copy of the resume on or before 5th October, 2013 to  The Principal Investigator, Dr. R.
