Junior Research Fellow Position in SERB Sponsored Project at Periyar University | Freshers can apply

The Government of Tamil Nadu established the Periyar University at Salem on 17th September 1997 as per the provisions of the Periyar University Act, 1997. The University covers the area comprising the districts of Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri. The University got the 12(B) and 2f status from the University Grants Commission and has been accredited by NAAC with B+ grade in 2007. The University is named after the Great Social Reformer E.V.Ramasamy affectionally called "Thanthai Periyar". 

Walk-in-Interview for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB sponsored major research project. The details of the project are as under: 

• Name of the Project : “Molecular characterization and degradation ability of prevailing microbes associated with heavy metal polluted sites (bauxite mines), kolli hill, Eastern Ghats, Tamilnadu”
• No. of post : One
• Qualification : M.Sc. Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Microbiology/ Botany/ Zoology/ Life Science or Equivalent degree with first class. Preference will be given to NET or GATE qualified candidates. 
• Desirable qualification : Working experiences in the relevant fields
• Age : The upper age limit is 28 years at the time of appointment 
• Fellowship : Rs.12,000/- p.m. for first two years & Rs. 14,000/-p.m. for third year
